Comedian Alan Carr, 43, has revealed he FaceTimed Grammy Award-winning singer Adele, 32, during the nationwide lockdown following the coronavirus pandemic. The Chatty Man star admitted he wanted his close friend to spill the details on the diet she had used.

Speaking on Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp, the Channel 4 star dished on his candid chat with Adele.

Radio host Sian Welby asked: “Alan, have you been getting in contact with your celeb mates during lockdown? Have you been Facetiming Adele?”

Alan replied: “Oh yeah, we FaceTimed her the other day! And of course she looks amazing now, doesn’t she?”

Roman said: “Yeah she looks unreal!”

Alan commented: “I mean, tell me that diet now Adele! I need it now!

“Yeah, but then I’ve been – yeah, Gok, John Bishop and David Walliams and everything. Yeah we’ve all been getting in contact, it’s been good!”

Alan and Adele have been best friends for years and the pop star even officiated his wedding back in 2018.

The funnyman married his boyfriend of 10 years Paul Drayton two years ago, in the back garden of Adele’s Los Angeles home where she also sang during their first dance.

His comments come after the Hello singer sent social media into a frenzy earlier this month, after she shared a snap of herself with a noticeably slimmed down frame.

The star looked sensational, posing in a tight black dress with voluminous sleeves.

In view of her 37 million Instagram followers, Adele captioned the post: “Thank you for the birthday love. I hope you’re all staying safe and sane during this crazy time.

“I’d like to thank all of our first responders and essential workers who are keeping us safe while risking their lives!

“You are truly our angels. 2020 okay bye thanks x.”

Adele’s weight loss first came to light in 2019, after she started to look slimmer in rare snaps.

At Beyonce and Jay Z’s 2020 Oscars bash, an image appeared of the star looking much slimmer in a leopard print dress.

A source told the Sun: “There’s a lot to do with her weight loss that has really changed her life, but it’s so much more than that.

“She’s had a lot of issues with confidence, self-esteem and a constant fear of being judged.

“She’s starting to feel proud of who she is and what she’s achieved. She doesn’t give a toss about hiding anymore.

“She’s a happy girl and she’s embracing life – big time.”
