Superstar Adele has branded rumours that she turned to Canadian singer Celine Dion for advice on doing a residency in Los Angeles as “absolutely not true”. Today sees the singer, 33, celebrating the release of her new hit Go Easy On Me, which is the first track to be released from her new album, 30.

Oh no, that’s out of someone’s a**e, that’s absolutely not true

Speaking to radio DJ Zoe Ball on her breakfast show this morning, Adele finally put the rumours to bed.

Zoe asked the singer: “Was there any truth in you having a conversation with Celine Dion?”

Responding, Adele said: “Oh no, that’s out of someone’s a**e, that’s absolutely not true,” she said as Zoe roared with laughter.

The star opened up about having taken her friend, comedian Alan Carr and his husband Paul Drayon to watch the singer perform.

Adele explained: “I saw Celine when I went to go and see her for Alan and Paul’s wedding

“I took them to Vegas to go and watch Celine afterward which was the night of my life.”

However, the star denied the rumours that she asked the singer, 53, for advice on doing a residency on the West Coast.

“But I certainly wasn’t like, ‘Hey, can I talk to you a minute about doing a Vegas residency?'” Adele said.

“That was like six years ago!”

She went on: “No, that’s not true but I adore her, I love her.

“She can give us advice anytime,” Adele added.

Days ago it was reported that the star had been seeking advice from The Power Of Love hitmaker ahead of a rumoured Las Vegas residency.

An insider claimed that the Easy On Me Singer was asking Celine for tips on managing a stint performing at the location.

They said: “Adele adores Celine.

“When they met she asked all about how she manages the workload. Celine was happy to help and recommend Vegas,” a source told The Sun.

They went on: “Adele wants to be near her LA home so it’s a great option.”

Celine has done two record-breaking residencies in Las Vegas.

Her first ran from 2003 until 2007, before she returned to perform for another eight years in the city between 2011 and 2019.

Adele’s comments come as she dropped a single from her new album, 30.

At midnight the singer shared a link to watch the official video on YouTube as well as posting a snippet of it online.

“Easy On Me – Out Now,” she captioned the footage, which she shared with her 41.4 million Instagram followers.
