Bella Thorne taught herself to read using scripts and count using cash

Doubters look at her now.

Bella Thorne spoke about the challenges she’s overcome in Thursday’s episode of Barstool Sports’ “Chicks In The Office” podcast.

The 21-year-old named some of the achievements she’s proud of, including teaching herself to read.

“…I never learned how to read, and I learned how to read from reading scripts,” she said. “I never learned how to count, and I learned how to count from counting my dad’s cash, so I’m obsessed with money and literal cash.

“I didn’t know how to dance, I had two left feet, and I couldn’t even bounce on the same rhythm, and I did a dance show about dancing,” she continued, referencing her starring role on the Disney Channel series “Shake It Up” from 2010-2013. ” I was tone deaf, and I own a record label, and I’m signed with Sony as an artist and I can (expletive) sing a capella (well)…”

Thorne said she’s been able to watch her fortune grow.

“I had literally $200 to my name, basically, when I turned 18, and I bought a house by the time I was 19,” she said. “Everybody told me you were not going to be able to do that, watch me.”

She added: “I’m out here just literally doing (expletive) that you were like, ‘That’s impossible, you can’t!’ ”
