Britney Spears' fiance Sam Asghari has assured fans that they will have an "iron-clad" prenup in place ahead of tying the knot.

On Sunday evening, the popstar was swarmed with well-wishes when she delightedly announced she was engaged to the fitness trainer after nearly five years together.

However, among the joy and celebrations, many fans, including Hollywood actress Octavia Spencer, urged the 39 year old to make Sam sign a prenup to protect her wealth and assets in case they were ever to part ways.

Sam, 27, quickly took to his Instagram Stories, where he addressed the concerns of his fiancée's fans, stating: "Thank you to everyone who is concerned about the prenup!"

"Of course, we're getting an iron-clad prenup," he began.

Proving he was a good sport about the situation by jokingly added, "to protect my jeep and shoe collection in case she dumps me one day."

Britney's marriage to Sam will mark her third wedding.

She famously wed her childhood sweetheart Jason Alexander in 2004 where there was no prenup in place, and their nuptials lasted 55 hours.

Months later, Britney wed back-up dancer Kevin Federline, with the Mail on Sunday reporting at the time that there was an iron-clad 60-page prenuptial agreement in place.

The exes welcomed sons Jayden, 15, and 14 year old Sean, 15, before divorcing in 2007.

Meanwhile, actor and model Sam thanked fans for the "overwhelming love and congratulations" in another post.

"We both love every single one of you," he added.

The Toxic singer flaunted her stunning ring in a video on her Instagram page, where Sam asked her: "Do you like it?"

To which she excitedly says: "Yes!" As Britney shared the exciting news with her 34 million followers, she wrote in the caption: "I can't f**king believe it", followed by a string of ring emojis.

The news comes a week after Britney's dad Jamie Spears filed a petition to end her conservatorship after 13 years.

Jamie, 69, filed the papers to Los Angeles County Superior Court.

In the papers, Jamie wrote that his daughter is "is entitled to have this court now seriously consider whether this conservatorship is no longer required".
