R&B legend Charlie Wilson performed his new single, “One I Got,” the title song from his upcoming album, on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Wednesday (July 29).
Wilson co-wrote “One I Got” along with Bruno Mars. The song pays tribute to “Ain’t No Woman Like the One I Got,” a 1972 hit by the Four Tops.
“All my records mainly have been celebrating women,” Wilson recently told Rolling Stone. “I just continue to do that.”
Wilson, who is a 13-time Grammy nominee, earned his seventh No. 1 on Billboard‘s Adult R&B Songs airplay chart in May with “Forever Valentine,” joining Maxwell and R. Kelly as the singers with the most top spots among male artists in the chart’s 26-year history.
