Holly Willoughby couldn't resist bringing back her "psychic" banana to predict the England versus Italy match results at the Euro 2020 final on Wednesday.

On Friday's episode of This Morning, the 40 year old and her co-host Phillip Schofield, 59, were eager to know if footwall was coming home in England's first major tournament since the 1966 World Cup.

The psychic banana has made three appearances on the ITV daytime show before, correctly calling a royal baby and another Euros result in 2016, as well as England's semi-final win over Denmark earlier this week.

And nerves were high in the studio as Holly whipped out a banana yet again to predict the final results of the Euro 2020.

"We know so far within this competition the banana has been 100% right. So I'm feeling the pressure massively today," Holly told viewers.

She went on to explain the rules, saying that if a dot was visible on the tip of the banana, the answer would be no, and if it was a Y, the answer was a yes.

"We ask it a yes or no question, and the question is, will England win the Euros? Yes or no," Holly continued.

"Oh my gosh, I've got the shakes," she said as she sliced into the banana.

Luckily the banana's tip showed a Y, prompting Holly and Phil to throw their arms in the air and sequel in delight.

"It's coming home," Phillip shouted in sheer excitement.

"It's the biggest yes," Holly added. "And I've been doing this since I was at school."

Despite their excitement, not everyone was convinced about the fortune-telling tool.

One person tweeted: "Unbelievable….A banana has 3 segments so there will always be a Y. Ask another banana if Italy will win."

Another person added in good humour: "Completely ludicrous but who cares. The psychic banana says we're going to win #ItsComingHome."
