Kirstie Allsopp, 49, has addressed Young’s Pubs on Twitter today after they did not want her and Phil Spencer, 51, filming inside their establishments up and down the country, according to the star. The Love It Or List It host was left upset by the chain’s actions, as she “does so much for hospitality” and likes to begin her shows by enjoying a drink in the pub.

It’s sad

Kirstie Allsopp

Kirstie typed in view of her 422,700 followers: “Phil & I do so much to support the hospitality industry.

“We begin and end most of our shows in pubs, so it’s sad to hear @YoungsPubs don’t want us to film in any of their establishments.

“Hope this is a policy that can flex a bit?” She asked.

However, one fan took issue with Kirstie’s comment and detailed how filming in a pub could cause unnecessary disruption.

They typed: “If it’s now maybe because filming is a nightmare and hugely disruptive. established film crews know how to be covid safe and are brilliant, but its’ kind of overwhelming for someone who isn’t in the industry. also, why call them out on it? Not very friendly or kind.”

The TV personality typed back: “Not very friendly or kind not to let us in.”

Meanwhile, other pub owners invited Kirstie to their establishments for filming.

One said: “How strange! You wouldn’t get that treatment @BlackHorseLE2.”

A second commented: “Hey @KirstieMAllsopp you are very welcome to come and film in any of our lovely Butcombe Pubs, we would even be happy to shout you a nice g&t. Just let us know if we can help.”

Young’s is a British pub chain that operates 220 pubs up and down the country.

Express.co.uk has contacted the pub chain for comment.

Kirstie is currently starring in Love It Or List It, where the presenter offers solutions to families who are frustrated with their homes.

On the other hand, her co-host Phil encourages families to sell and make the most of the rising property market.

The homeowners have usually either outgrown the space or they want a change of style and decor.

After meeting each couple, the presenters find out all they can about the family involved, how they use their current home, and what they would want from a new one.

Using a budget equal to the cost of moving, Kirstie and a team of property developers transform each house to make it lovable once again.

Meanwhile, Phil seeks out properties in the owners’ most desired locations to tempt them to offload their property.

However, one viewer noted how on most episodes, the homeowners tend to love Kirstie’s renovations so much, they more often than not end up staying.

The Twitter user responded to a post from the Love It Or List It account, that read: “Hope you’re enjoying tonight’s episode of #lioli Brilliant Builds.

“If you’d like Phil & Kirstie’s help to decide if you should Love or List your property please get in touch with our team on [email protected]

They typed back: “We love it but they always stay….”

Eagle-eyed Kirstie spotted the comment and quickly clarified the ratio of how many stay in their homes, to how many leave.

She replied: “Not true, it’s about 40/60 over the 6 series so far.”
