Kate and Prince William released three pictures taken behind the scenes of the first-ever Earthshot Prize 2021 award ceremony. The black-and-white snaps gave a glimpse into the couple’s relationship.

The tender pictures showed the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in a rare display of affection.

One picture showed Kate placing an arm around William’s waist, who was getting closer to her to hear her speak.

Another showed the Duke of Cambridge in the darkness waiting to get on stage.

A third photograph saw Kate and William leaning against one another as they walked through the curtains at Alexandra Palace.

These intimate snaps were welcomed by royal fans, with many calling them “beautiful” and “adorable”.

The Apprentice star has since addressed the pictures and said that the royal couple come across as sincere.

Writing in her latest column for The Sun, Karren, 52, said she is fond of the candid snaps.

She wrote: “I loved the black and white photos of Kate Middleton and Prince William sharing some rare moments of public affection.

“Looking intensely into each other’s eyes and smiling at one another, these stunning photos show a couple both comfortable with and proud of each other.”

She added: “There is nothing contrived about them and Kate looks as though she is genuinely enjoying her husband’s moment in the spotlight.”

The stunning snaps were taken by royal photographer Chris Jackson following the Earthshot Prize Awards last Sunday.

Kate stunned in a pleated lavender chiffon dress with a gold embellished belt.

The gown is from Alexander McQueen’s 2011 ready-to-wear collection and features half sleeves.

The updated recycled dress features a wide boat neck collar before the dress falls elegantly to the floor.

Kate finished the look with a pair of jewel-drop earrings and a bouncy blow-out sitting in front of one shoulder.

Prince William looked dapper in an emerald green velvet blazer layered over a black turtleneck.

More black-and-white behind the scenes photographs were also distributed in the wake of the successful ceremony.

One shows Kate and William walking among the crowd towards the stage set up at the London venue.

Another shows a focused Duke during the show.

After these snaps were made public, royal photographer Chris took to Twitter to express how “grateful” he was for the opportunity to document the awards.

He wrote: “Grateful for the opportunity to document some of the energy and passion that went into this groundbreaking event that will change the climate change narrative for the foreseeable future.”
