Exciting news for those of us who are obsessed with 1. the royals, and 2. dogs (it’s a very specific cross-section of humanity, okay?). Looks like the Cambridges have a new puppy! People reports that they got their new addition from Kate Middleton’s brother James Middleton, whose dog Luna (their previous dog Lupo’s sister) had “six healthy little pups.”
A friend of the family’s tells The Mail on Sunday that the new dog arrived before Lupo passed away, saying “The new puppy is adorable and the whole family are besotted. They were devastated when Lupo passed away. It was hoped that a younger dog would give Lupo some company and give him a little more life and energy.”
Kate and William haven’t shared any photos of their new pup yet (or revealed a name), but don’t worry—James Middleton kinda did thanks to his posts about raising the litter:

As a reminder, William and Kate announced Lupo’s passing back in November, writing a sweet note on Instagram that simply said “Very sadly last weekend our dear dog, Lupo, passed away. He has been at the heart of our family for the past nine years and we will miss him so much. – W & C”
