He recently announced he’s set to divorce his wife Sara MacDonald, and rocker Noel Gallagher is said to be being supported through his split by supermodel pal Kate Moss.
The Oasis star, who is now the lead singer and guitarist of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, and his music publicist wife confirmed their split in a statement last week.
They said: "Noel Gallagher and Sara MacDonald have confirmed that the couple are to divorce.
“Noel and Sara will together continue to look after their children who remain their priority.
"Noel and Sara ask the media to respect their privacy and that of our family at this time.”
While Noel’s estranged brother Liam Gallagher is also said to have been in touch, his long-term pal Kate has been showing her support.
The pair have been friends since the nineties and they even appeared on Celebrity Gogglebox together back in 2014 with Kate’s fellow supermodel pal Naomi Campbell.
Noel and Kate are also said to have gone on double dates when she was with actor Johnny Depp and Noel was married to his first wife Meg Matthews.
A soured told The Sun: “After his split from Sara was made public, friends from Noel’s Primrose Hill set have been rallying around. Kate has been divorced and has been in touch.
“While they’re not out partying all night any more, they remain friends and she has reached out.”
Noel and Sara first met at Ibiza superclub Space in 2000 and got hitched in 2011 at the Lime Wood Hotel in Lyndhurst, Hampshire.
The venue was said to have cost £60,000 to hire and the ceremony was attended by comedian Russell Brand, who gave a speech, but Noel's brother Liam said he wasn’t invited to the nuptials.
The couple are parents to two sons. Sara, 51, gave birth to their first son Donovan in 2007, followed by their second child Sonny in 2010. Noel is also dad to daughter Anais, 22, from his first marriage to former music PR Meg.
The singer is said to have moved out of his and Sara’s £8 million South Downs mansion in Hampshire.
This news of the couple’s split comes after fans have speculated about an Oasis reunion amidst their long-running feud.
The Gallagher brothers haven't been on good terms for a long time and continue to insult each other publicly in interviews and on social media.
But earlier this month Liam created fresh hopes for an Oasis reunion when he replied to a fan's tweet asking if the band will be returning this year, in which he responded with a praise emoji.
Liam famously hasn’t got on with Noel's wife Sara and he previously claimed that she was the one who was stopping the band reuniting, so the announcement of their split has left Oasis fans wondering if a reunion is now on the cards.
