In the clip, which the documentary-maker uploaded in view of 309,000 followers, it was revealed how her professional dancer boyfriend, 37, had predicted big things from the Emmerdale star, 35, from the beginning.

The 32-year-old had received a call from Kevin after seeing Kelvin’s performance in rehearsals for the first time.

Stacey had started, speaking directly into the camera: “So we have just got back from the final, and I just want to congratulate Oti and Kelvin, on the most incredible…

Kevin interrupted, revealing how he was sat next to his girlfriend in a rare joint offering: “Go on Kelv!”(sic)

“… performance,” she finished. “It was just… the Showdance was what I think did it for your guys. And we couldn’t be happier for you both.”

“Really, really proud,” Kevin said. “To be honest, you smashed it from week one and all the way through the series.”

“Yeah, that Samba. That Samba was no joke,” she said, recalling his initial routine with pro partner Oti, 29.

Kevin then recalled: “I was there when you first did that Samba in the space, in the rehearsal on the Friday before the Saturday of week one.

“Ah, you said actually, you told me,” she also remembered.

He added: “I remember being absolutely blown away. I called Stace afterwards and said, ‘This lad Kelvin has just come in at the last minute and he’s doing this Samba, and you wanna watch this Samba because they’re going to be brilliant.”

Cutting him off, Stacey added: “I think we need to wrap it up, because it is nearly a minute long. Have the best time, merry Christmas everyone.”

The presenter captioned the tweet: “@kelvin_fletcher @OtiMabuse… soak it all up. Enjoy it,” with a heart emoji.

He said afterwards: “I’m absolutely speechless! I did not expect that. It’s just been such a privilege to be here.

“I think this show represents everything that is amazing with this country, I think the people personify what is great. It’s just been an absolute privilege.”

Meanwhile, it comes amid reports of Anton’s stark warning to producers that he may no longer be able to continue on the programme.

He has been a family favourite on Strictly for the past 15 years but has never won the BBC show.

So after getting his partner EastEnders’ actor Emma to this year’s final, the dancer has reportedly had enough and is said to be looking for new adventures.

A source told The Star: “Anton absolutely loves being part of Strictly, but he’s been thinking about moving on for a while now.”
