Canadian company Entertainment One has been accused of ripping off Louise Redknapp’s 1996 track Naked in a song sung by children’s animated favourite Peppa Pig. The track in question is called Peppa’s Party Time and features on Peppa Pig: My First Album, which was released last July.
Songwriters behind the singer’s song have launched legal action against Entertainment One, claiming it was an infringement of copyright.
Peppa Pig’s vocals on the album are provided by Harley Bird, who also voices the character.
Lyrics include: “I’m having a party/do you want to come/ there’s going to be lots of dancing and maybe some dancing in muddy puddles too.”
According to The Mirror, sources have claimed the case has been settled.

They added that the composers are now entitled to all backdated and future royalties, which could earn them up to £1million.
Songwriters including Denis Ingoldsby are now said to be credited alongside the original composers of the Peppa track.
Express.co.uk has contacted a representative for Louise, Denis Ingoldsby and Entertainment One for a comment.
The mother-of-two has since broken her silence about the claims on Twitter.
The singer shared a snap from her music video to the song with the caption: “Oink oink [Pig emoji] #JusticeForNaked.”
Elsewhere, Louise reprised her music career following her split from ex-husband Jamie Redknapp back in 2017.
The former couple, who share two sons, parted ways after 19 years of marriage.
The Stretch hitmaker released her first studio album, titled Heavy Love, earlier this month.
She has since opened up about her “very personal” tracks, which reflect on her marriage.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain earlier this week, she said: “I wrote this album over a two-year period. It’s a very personal album.
