Love Island fans gobsmacked as Danica admits she’s never heard of Princess Anne

In Saturday 23 July night’s episode of Unseen Bits of the hit ITV2 show Love Island, the Islanders were seen having a chat about the Royal Family and Danica Taylor admitted to “not knowing” who Princess Anne is.

The Unseen Bits episode often sees Islanders passing the many hours they have to kill in the villa and viewers get a glimpse of the somewhat random conversations that helps them pass the time.

This week saw Danica Taylor, 21, get into a Royal chat with fellow Islanders Indiyah Polack and Summer Botwe.

The conversation began as the three girls were seen lounging on the beanbags by the pool, and Indiyah, 23, opened the conversation about the Queen as she said: “Imagine the Queen having like, a girls’ holiday”, then Danica joined in: “Imagine the Queen in a bikini”.

They went on: “It’s mad how she’s never had like, a girls’ holiday or gone to Ibiza.”

Summer, 22, chipped in: “They just go to Sandringham,” as she explained to her pals that it is “one of their houses” after Indiyah asked where Sandringham is.

The conversation then went on to the monarch’s children, Summer asked: “So, her children are Charles and Princess Anne, right?”

A confused Indiyah then asked: “Ain’t Princess Anne her sister?”

Summer responded: “No, she had a son and a daughter, it must be Princess Anne, because she’s a princess and she’s not as old.”

Danica then joined the conversation, confessing: “I’ve never heard of Princess Anne.

“I know Prince Charles is the one who looks a little bit stale.”

Viewers rushed to Twitter to share their thoughts on the conversation.

One wrote: “You’ve never heard of Princess Anne?”

While a second commented: “I’m embarrassed for Danica.”

A third chuckled: “’Imagine the queen in a bikini,’” followed by a laughing face emoji.

The trio were not done yet as they continued their Royal chat as they went on to try and work out who is next in-line for the throne and managing to establish it is Prince Charles.

Summer debated: “He’s not gonna be long on the throne because of how old he is.”

Indiyah added: “He might just pass it down to William.”

Indiyah went on to reveal that she “doesn’t want a King”, with her then realising we will “never have a Queen again” in our lifetimes, as Prince George will be crowned after William.

Danica ended the conversation in a very patriotic manner, exclaiming: “Long live the Queen”.
