Strictly Come Dancing professional Neil Jones, 36, has been sharing his thoughts on Love Island 2019 on Twitter since it returned to screens last Monday. The ITV2 show’s cast includes co-star AJ Pritchard’s younger brother Curtis Pritchard, 23. On Friday, Love Island contestant Yewande Biala, 23, said kissing her partner Michael Griffiths, 27, felt like kissing her brother during a cowboy challenge. She said: “Me and my Michael did have a snog at the end… it was weird but good… it was like kissing your brother but in a good way. That sounds weird.”
Ummmm how is ever snogging your own brother a good thing
Her remark sparked a frenzy on Twitter and prompted Neil to jokingly query AJ.
In view of his 57,000 followers, he commented: “Ummmm how is ever snogging your own brother a good thing @Aj11Ace what’s your opinion on this?? #loveisland.”(sic)
Neil followed up his tweet commenting on Curtis’ time on the show after the latter struck up a romance with Amy Hart, 26.
He commented: “GO CURTIS @Aj11Ace your bro is going to win this. He’s got my support #loveisland.”
He later added: “Wow even I want to couple up with Curtis #loveisland,” prompting AJ to retweet his comment.
Neil’s comment prompted many of his social media fans to share their thoughts.
One user commented: “That’s grand, that leaves AJ for me then!”
A second penned: “He’s so cute pls.”(sic)
A third wrote: “Haha. Nice to see you backing your friend Neil.”
Neil later asked AJ on Twitter: “How does it feel to watch your baby brother on TV in a bed? #LoveIsand”
AJ shared the tweet with a crying with laughter emojis, commenting: “Hilarious.”
Elsewhere, AJ has also been keeping his fans up to date with his thoughts on Curtis’ time in the villa.
AJ hinted he approved of his brother’s current relationship with Amy, by sharing a video of the pair coupling up.
He shared the moment Amy chose Curtis to couple up with her on Friday night, captioning the video: “Happy.”
Ahead of his stint in the villa, Curtis insisted he will be “loyal” on the show after admitting to cheating on a previous girlfriend.
He said: “I have cheated before, but that isn’t why I split with that girlfriend [Emily Barker].”
“I will always be loyal from now on,” he added.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
