Piers Morgan: GMB host hits out at Meghan Markle after ‘unacceptable’ behaviour

The Duchess of Sussex has been out of the public eye after giving birth to her first child, Archie, with Prince Harry on May 6.

But Meghan Markle came out of her maternity leave on Saturday to attend the Trooping of the Colour.

Now, Piers Morgan, 54, has slammed the new mother’s behaviour as “suspicious” after she turned up at the event but was a no-show during US S President Donald Trump’s state visit last week.

In his Mail Online column, the Good Morning Britain host said: “I don’t think her absence from Trump’s visit had anything to do with her baby, and everything to do with her dislike of her President.

“And that, I’m afraid, is unacceptable.”

He went on: “As the only American among the royals, Meghan Markle should have been there to greet the President and his family on behalf of her fellow Americans.

“By staying at home, then turning up all bright and cheerful the moment Trump left, she displayed a woefully selfish disregard for royal duty.”
