Sadie Sink Looked Fab in a Black Roaring ‘20s Dress at 'The Whale' Screening

From levitating in the air while listening to Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill” in Stranger Thing Season 4 to crying her heart out in Taylor Swift’s short film for “All Too Well,” Sadie Sink continues to show us her acting range. In her most recent project, a psychological drama entitled The Whale, the actress plays the estranged daughter of a grieving English teacher who struggles with binge eating. Sadie hit the red carpet at a screening of the film, which has been generating some serious Oscars buzz, and we’re obsessed with the simple retro style she rocked.

Sadie Sink was 14 years old when she auditioned to be a part of the iconic Stranger Things cast, and the actress (who is now 20 years old!) has been serving us red carpet ~lewks~ for years. This most recent carpet was no exception — for the screening of The Whale, Sadie wore a black Chanel dress with a straight, strapless neckline and a drop-waist fit similar to the popular flapper dresses of the Great Gatsby era. Her 1920s-inspired dress featured panels of subtle sparkle and a sheer tulle hem that hit at a midi length to show off a pair of simple black heels.

The actress left her ginger locks down and styled in a side part, tucked behind her ear to show off a simple silver necklace and earrings. Sadie wore classic winged eyeliner, with the rest of her makeup focused on adding a rosy flush to her monochrome look in the form of blush, a lip tint, and matching rosy eyeshadow to tie her glam together.

Aside from Stranger Things Season 5 (eek!), Sadie’s next project will be another psychological thriller called Berlin Nobody. The actress is set to play the rebellious teenage daughter of social psychologist Ben Monroe, who spent extensive time studying the rise of cults.

The actress signed on after Kiernan Shipka decided to leave the project, and filming is reportedly underway although a release date has not been officially announced.
