Spice Girls to pay tribute to Victoria Beckham as they kick off reunion stadium tour without her

The Spice Girls will pay tribute to Victoria Beckham as they kick off their reunion tour, it has been reported.

Victoria, 45, will not join former bandmates Mel B, 43, Emma Bunton, also 43, Geri Horner, 46, and Melanie C, 45, on the 13-date stadium tour.

But as the Spice Up Your Life hitmakers prepare to take to the stage in Dublin, details of their sweet salute to David Beckham’s wife have seemingly been revealed.

The band are said to have planned two surprise sections dedicated to Posh Spice in the show.

A source told The Sun Online: “Everyone was disappointed when Victoria said no. Initially there was frustration and some ill feeling.

“She still isn’t planning to attend and has done very little to show public support.

“But the girls want to put any animosity to bed and make a gesture to say as much.

“They’ve come up with a tribute to her and she’ll be getting a significant mention on stage in the most glowing terms, visually and verbally. They’ve decided it’s the right thing.”

The publication also reports that the lyrical reference made to Victoria in their debut single Wannabe will also be kept.

OK! online previously revealed that Victoria has also been included in the merchandise being sold at stadiums this summer.

Victoria features on 10 of the 23 items of apparel available to buy at the tour, with a large number of products showing promotional images from their 1996 album Spice.

The mum-of-four even has her own t-shirt on the tour, available for £25.
