The Holiday star Jack Black, 53, sports grey bushy beard 16 years after role in hit film

Hollywood star Jack Black has certainly changed his look in the 16 years since he starred in the much-loved Christmas rom-com The Holiday.

Now hiding behind a grey bushy beard, the actor, 53, was snapped going for a stroll in the Los Angeles neighbourhood of Los Feliz.

Jack donned some colourful and patterned shorts, a green puffer jacket, brown boots and white socks. He could be seen sporting some white headphones as he listened to some music while taking his walk.

Recent rumours suggested that Jack, and his fellow cast members could make a return to The Holiday, with a potential sequel on the horizon.

According to The Sun, a source said: “The plan is to start filming next year. The main talent are all signed up.”

Sadly however, these rumours have been squashed by actress Kate Winslet, who played journalist Iris in the film, who said she'd heard the rumours are the same time as everyone else.

Speaking to Good Morning Britain on the Avatar 2 red carpet, she said: "I honestly heard that myself today and I was like, 'Well, that's news to me'. I don't think that's a real thing, I'm afraid.

"I certainly haven't received any phone calls about that, I promise you I have not."

Despite her initial dismissal of the rumours, she stated that if the reports had been true then the project would be "worth considering".

She said: "I mean, it's worth considering. I'm curious but I don't even know what the storyline would be."

Writer and director of the original movie, Nancy Meyers, has also denied the reports. She took to Instagram with a screenshot of an earlier Daily Mail story and stated: "So many DM’s about this – sorry but it’s not true."

The Holiday follows the story of LA-based movie producer Amanda (Cameron Diaz) and Surrey-based Iris (Kate), who decide to swap homes over the Christmas holidays, after both experiencing disaster in their love lives.

Amanda meets Iris' brother Graham (Jude Law), with whom she falls in love, whilst Iris forms a friends with Miles (Jack) that ultimately turns into a romance.

Since The Holiday, Jack has gone on to star in The Muppets, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, and the upcoming Super Mario Bros. Movie.

He also voiced the role of Po in the Kung Fu Panda films, and has made a number of TV appearances in shows such as The Simpsons, Community and Drunk History.
