Just when we thought we'd seen it all, another wonderfully weird swimming costume comes out of the wood work and takes us by surprise.
And by that we of course mean there's a new beach must-have doing the rounds on Twitter and Instagram .
People can't stop talking about something called a Towelkini, which yes, is just as bizarre as it sounds.
The rather unusual garment combines a towel with a bikini (kind of) and will set you back a whopping £150 if you choose to buy one.
Designed by New York artist, Aria McManus back in 2014, the Towelkini went on sale at Special Special in 2018, but it's only just been discovered here in the UK.
It hit the headlines this week following an appearance on Loose Women.
The ladies of the TV panel couldn't stop giggling over their own version of bizarre garment on Tuesday morning, when Coleen Nolan modelled it for all to see.
It's currently available to buy online in two colours – orange and white, or pink and white.
In a post on Mcmanus' website, the item is described as: "Melding the two essentials for all things beach no need to carry a cumbersome towel or an easy to lose swimsuit – here they come as one, materialized as ideal.
"Keep the baes at bay – have all your haters throw the towel in when they lay eyes on you in this. Maximize your tan with upright capabilities, all members off link.
"Selectively airy in the back for that all round effect, perfect for a lie down on the beach or a dip in the pool. Supple curves constructively cut from the finest grade of terry cloth."
Those who have come across the Towelkini are rather unsure what to make of it.
"I don't get it at all, this makes no sense," wrote one baffled user.
Another commented: "Seems like a lot of work."
A third said: "Good grief… buy a really large towel, cut three strategic holes in it, and you're not spending 199 bucks."
"I'm just puzzled by this," added someone else.
