Christine McGuinness has set the record straight after rumours surfaced that she was scouring dating apps for potential lovers.
The model, 34, announced her split from husband Paddy McGuinness, 49, earlier this year after 11 years of marriage.
Christine has since been snapped getting cosy with pal Chelcee Grimes, 30, with the pair sharing a kiss on a Winter Wonderland date.
While Christine is yet to publicly comment on whether she and Chelcee are an item, she has clarified speculation that she’s on Raya, a private, membership-based, dating app used by celebrities.
Returning to Instagram after a few days offline over Christmas, she began in a video: ‘Hey everyone, I hope you’re all good. I’ve had a couple of days off Instagram over Christmas which has done me so much good.
‘I just wanted to come on quickly. First of all, quite important, I’ll try and be quick with this because I feel a bit awkward about it.’
Addressing the rumours, she continued: ‘There is a data website called Raya which is known for like, celebrities and artists and people with a profile to be using this dating website to meet up.
‘I’ve had lots of messages the last couple of days, but especially this morning, and the messages I’m getting are off people with blue ticks, so I do believe there’s a profile of me on Raya, the dating website.’
‘It’s not me, it’s definitely not me,’ Christine confirmed.
She proceeded to state she has ‘nothing against dating websites’ but personally has ‘never used one.’
‘I wouldn’t even know where to start,’ Christine admitted. ‘I’m sure they’re a great place for people to meet up and get in touch.’
‘But, I just don’t want anyone to go and meet up with somebody and think that it’s me you’re gonna meet on the date,’ she said.
Christine then laughed as she thanked everyone for letting her know that there’s a fake profile for her on Raya, urging fans not to meet up with strangers because it won’t be her.
The TV personality went on to discuss what her favourite types of dates are, encouraging people to be a bit more ‘original’ when sliding into her DMs.
‘Try and be a bit more original or exciting with your date offers. I mean, I’m not an expert, I haven’t really dated, but I don’t really like going to restaurants. I’ve had loads of, “Can I take you for dinner?”, I don’t like going to restaurants where I don’t know them or I don’t know what’s on the menu.
‘I don’t really like eating with people I’m not comfortable with, that would just be my worst idea of a first date.’
Christine added: ‘Also, “Can I take you for a drink?”, do a bit of research on the person! I haven’t drank for 15 years, I don’t drink alcohol, I don’t wanna go for a drink with you.’
‘So, anyway, it’s not me. But, good luck with your dates!’, she signed off with a chuckle.
