Inside Harry Redknapp's £3.5m Sandbanks home where he's isolating with wife

Harry Redknapp has long lived on the coast down in Sandbanks and his home is pretty much fit for a King (a former jungle King, to be precise).

The 73-year-old, who has given football fans the content they so desperately needed in lockdown with his show Harry’s Heroes that reunited England’s footballing legends, is currently self-isolating at his luxury pad with wife Sandra during the coronavirus pandemic.

And given its beachfront location, it’s certainly an ideal spot for when you’re cooped up indoors.

Harry has called Sandbanks home for more than 20 years and his four-storey place, complete with an indoor lap pool and sea views, sits on the area’s lavish Millionaire’s Row.

Not bad, Hazza. Not bad.

It’s a modern-style home, with sleek glass windows lining the back of the property just a stone’s throw from the beach and inside it sticks to a stylish neutral palette of muted grey, white and cream.

Harry is often seen sharing his dream home on social media, with regular updates on his life at home with wife Sandra and the couple have invited the cameras into their house during filming for Harry Redknapp’s Sandbanks Summer.

‘Sandbanks is a great area. We love living here,’ Harry – dad to sons Mark, 50, and footballer Jamie, 46, says during one episode.

‘Mark was about two when we came down here, Jamie was born down here. This is home.’

The large property not only has the beach on its doorstep, but houses a huge garden with plenty of green space for Harry to brush up on his footy skills or challenge the grandkids to a game or two.

Glass doors and windows look out to a large patio area, complete with rattan garden seating and tables, perfect for entertaining.

Inside, the living area seems to be a favourite spot of Harry’s where he can chill out with his dogs, watch television on his flat screen TV and get cosy with a cool glass-box fire.

The large space is broken up by a dark navy L-shaped sofa, scattered with charcoal, gold and cream cushions, and an industrial chic coffee table – home to a number of books, picture frames and house plants.

And we’re guessing Sandra is behind the room’s homely feel, as photos line the walls and cabinets, along with scented candles and diffusers, while a large round mirror makes for a fashionable centre piece.

When he’s not hanging out on the sofa, Harry is enjoying date nights at home with Sandra in the kitchen.

Taking to Instagram during lockdown, Harry revealed that the couple have been cooking up a storm in the kitchen, instead of going out for dinner.

‘I love taking my Sarn for dinner – but after taking the advice that we all should be we are enjoying date night at home. Do what you have been asked to do, spend time with family. Sending love and best wishes to you all, H 💙xx,’ he wrote.

He was seen looking pretty pleased with the pair’s set-up, as he sat at their glass dining table, decorated with dark woven place mats, a Diptyque Baies candle (that doesn’t come cheap) and their favourite bottle of red.

A second dining area sits just off of the open-plan kitchen, giving a front row seat to the cooking that goes on and, of course, those stunning sea views outside too.

It seems to be the hub for all of those family gatherings, with Sandra famous for her breakfast pancakes in the Redknapp household and plenty of sweet treats.

The white and grey-themed kitchen boasts a huge breakfast island, broken up into two sections by a glass screen, with a hob one side and seating the other.

A double-oven is fitted onto the wall behind, while a woven light fitting makes a pretty centre piece and a huge flat screen TV takes pride of place by the circular white dining table in the corner.

Speaking about life in lockdown, Harry has said that Sandra has ‘saved him’ by helping him learn how to use all the technology he needs to stay in touch with friends and family.

The I’m A Celebrity star appeared on This Morning and when asked how the couple were getting on isolating at home, Harry joked: ‘Sandra really has helped me. Without her doing I wouldn’t have a clue I’m useless.

Having taught herself everything she knows, Sandra is now passing it all on to her husband, with Harry teasing: ‘She’s picked it up very well. [Sanda] wants pay at the moment for all the work she’s done!’

The childhood sweethearts met back when they were teenagers and later married in 1967, with Harry sweetly saying he knew from ‘day one’ that Sandra was going to be his wife.

Opening up about their marriage (which is the epitome of #relationshipgoals) during his ITV special last year, Harry said: ‘Been married 51 years, but we were going out together for four years before we got married, so 55 years.

‘She looks after me so well it’s unbelievable. We just gel, she’s great with me, treats me like a baby!’
