A PROFESSIONAL hairstylist has revealed the dire consequences after bleaching her locks for the trendy 'money piece highlights'.
She was getting tired of her existing hairdo, so TikTok user Peyton (@mc_peyts) gave in and tried the so-called 'money piece' look.
This trend, a hit amongst social media users, sees beauty fans bleaching the two front strands of hair, giving their face a glow.
For a while, the 20-year-old, from the US, was happy and looked stunning with the fresh highlights she had paired with ginger hair.
But unfortunately, little did she realise joys wouldn't last long, and she would be living with the hair-rific consequences later.
Just a year after an intense and regular bleaching, her dry hair had finally had enough – it all snapped off.

Mortified, the young hairdresser took to TikTok to reveal what she was left with – an uneven fringe and random hairs poking out.
''I’m a professional hairstylist. I’m just stupid,'' she admitted in the video.
Hopefully learning from this mistake, Peyton told her 97k fans that she should never be left unattended with bleach in sight.
Fellow beauty fans flocked to comments and it appears many were dealing with the aftermath of this trend.

Perhaps it's best to steer clear of trends, as one woman's experience with the viral butterfly cut ended up a total flop too.
Unless you've been living under a rock, you will have seen the so-called butterfly cut has become all the rage recently, with thousands of people rocking this hairdo.
One of those who wanted to see what she looked like with this layered look was Elena Armellini (@elena_armellini), believed to be from Italy.
Rather than trusting a professional, the stunning woman decided she would be more than capable with scissors herself.
However, as she soon came to discover, this was not necessarily the case…
Taking her 157k fans along the journey, the young Italian woman took to TikTok to reveal where things had gone wrong.
In the now-viral video, which has been viewed over 860k times in just one day, Elena first started by dividing her hair into two sections.
Happy with the placement, she put the remaining locks into a long ponytail and started working on the front section, some of which had been bleached.
The remaining steps were quite easy – she simply gathered all the front hair together and grabbed scissors to chop almost half of it off.
Once she was satisfied with how the front was looking, the beauty enthusiast did the same with the long ponytail in the back.
''It hurts to see this,'' she chuckled whilst saying goodbye to her long locks.
But just moments later things took a sharp turn when Elena realised the ''disaster'' that had just taken place.
Unlike everyone else's butterfly cuts that had blended in seamlessly, Elena's hairdo appeared much more choppy and uneven.
Mortified, the stunner said: ''Let's book the hairdresser.
''I won't listen to TikTok trends anymore,'' she vowed.
After going viral with the hair fail, the woman revealed the new cut the hairdressers had given her – but although she seemed to be in love with it, social media users reckoned it still looked the exact same.
