Norse Projects Explores the Barbour Archive for Fall/Winter 2020

Copenhagen-based label Norse Projects has linked up with Barbour for a new collaboration focusing on quality, craftmanship and attention to detail. For the collaborative release, Norse Projects explored the Barbour archive to create a selection of outerwear, knitwear and soft cotton jerseys.

The stand-out item in the collection is the Ursula Wax coat, which takes inspiration from Barbour’s Ursula Suit created in 1939 for a submarine officer. Referencing its technical past, the coat is constructed from a durable cotton and wax blend and a Thermore lining. The Ursula Wax coat is available in navy, “Burnt Orange” or “Sand.”

Additionally, Norse Projects has reimagined the 1960s Game Fair Jacket to create the North Sea Parka with a longer length and lightweight finish. Other key pieces aside from the outerwear include half zip knitwear in “Gray Marl” or navy, dual branded T-shirts and accessories such as a water-resistant sports hat and cross body holdall. Rounding out the collaboration is the short-length Fury Wellington boots.

Take a look through the Norse Projects x Barbour collaboration in the gallery above. The collection will launch exclusively at Norse Projects’ Copenhagen store on August 27, before arriving at the Barbour web store and select stockists including END. on August 28.
