Extending on its Automotive collection, American fashion brand Ralph Lauren is now offering a new sizing for its iconic chronograph, sitting right between its 45mm and 39mm models.
Sized at a more wrist-friendly 42mm, the new model is available either in standard stainless steel or black-toned finish, complete with a solid bracelet for the more casual of occasions and a black leather strap for your formal attire. The highlight of the timepiece is no doubt the Amboyna burl bezel, which pays tribute to the wood trims of vintage race cars, especially when it comes to their steering wheels.
The rest of the dial comes blacked out with patinated numeral indexes, replaced only by the two chronograph counters at 3 and 9 o’clock as well as Ralph Lauren’s “RL” logo at 12 o’clock. Powering the watch is the RL751A/1 automatic movement made exclusively by Jaeger-LeCoultre for the American fashion house. Based on the latter’s caliber 751, the movement operates at 4Hz and boasts a power reserve of 65 hours.
Both variations of the new Ralph Lauren Automotive Chronograph will be available at the fashion retailer’s stores all across the globe, with prices at $9,900 USD.
