Aldi releases chocolate bar inspired liqueurs – including a choc orange flavour

Those with a sweet tooth, rejoice.

Aldi has expanded its creamy chocolate liqueur range, and this time it’s inspired by the chocolate bars you grew up loving.

The bestselling Classic and White Chocolate ones will be back this year, but now joined by some extra special variants.

Now, there’s Mint Chocolate, Chocolate & Clementine, and Salted Caramel.

But what chocolate heroes are they replicating?

Ballycastle Mint Chocolate Cream

Described as ‘an alcoholic mint Aero’, it’s a blend of alcohol, double cream, and mint.

It even won a Gold award at the 2021 Spirits Business Liqueur Masters.

Ballycastle Chocolate & Clementine Cream

This one will be an instant classic, given that it’s based off the taste of a Terry’s Chocolate Orange.

This tipple also won an award for its combination of citrus and smooth chocolate favours.

Ballycastle Salted Caramel Cream

Aldi call this ‘a boozy Galaxy Salted Caramel’; a blend of Irish liqueur and salted caramel enveloped in rich double cream.

It’s the sweetest on the lot and is as indulgent as it sounds.

This one won a Gold award this year based on its taste.

Ballycastle White Chocolate Cream

This flavour was a sellout last year, and is described as a ‘Milkybar drink for adults’.

The cream liqueur is flavoured with white chocolate, and Aldi expects this to be a sellout yet again.

All priced at just £6.99, they’re a treat you don’t want to miss out on this festival season.

Aldi recommends adding them to hot chocolate or vanilla lattes for an extra kick.

The brand is also bringing out their Ballycastle Cream Liqueur Crackers for the same price, so you can sample four minis in the Salted Caramel, White Chocolate, Chocolate & Clementine and Classic flavours.

Chin chin!
