Lockdown has brought us lots of quick recipes to make with a few ingredients and we love this one that has been popular on TikTok.
A mum has created a creamy chocolate mousse with just three ingredients – and it’s completely egg and dairy-free, which means it’s suitable for vegans.
TikToker @mama_mila_ says it takes just 30 seconds to whip up the dessert – though you do need to do a little prep the night before.
To make the treat, she takes a can of coconut milk and leaves it in the fridge overnight.
This makes the cream separate from the water so the next day, you can scoop out the thick cream at the top and leave the water.
You can throw the water away or use it for smoothies if you don’t want to waste it.
Mila says it’s important not to add it to the mousse as it stops it forming.

Put the cream in a bowl with 1/2 cup of icing sugar (about 50g), along with a tablespoon of cocoa powder.
From there, you just need to whisk it all up, though you’ll probably need an electric whisk.
Mila then serves it in little individual ramekins.
It creates quite a thick and indulgent mousse, which Mila describes as ‘the best Friday night treat’.
