Tis the season to feast.
So why not feast on maple syrup? That’s what one farm in Canada is asking.
Family-owned farm Sugar Moon specalises in handcrafted maple syrup straight from the sugar woods of Nova Scotia.
Those with a sweet tooth will love this dessert heaven which offers plenty of sweet and savoury options – all of which have a maple twist of some form.
Whether you’re looking for the classic maple syrup and pancake combo or want to try the maple mac and cheese with candied bacon, there are plenty of options.
You can also get cocktails and winter beverages, such as hot chocolate in maple flavour.
The folks at Sugar Moon host events led by a culinary artist who prepares five farm-to-table courses, which include seasonal delicacies and signature maple appetisers.
And in case you haven’t had enough of the stuff, guests also get a maple treats goody bag.
Sugar Moon has a gift shop too for those hoping to pick up some maple-inspired cookbooks, memorabilia, and even toiletries (think maple soap and maple lip balm).
With travel restrictions in place, most Brits will be unable to check out all the sweetness that Sugar Moon has to offer.
But Sugar Moon does have an online shop if you want to support a local business from afar.
Canadians can still visit the farm. But due to the pandemic, Sugar Moon has had to adjust the size of their chef nights but you can try to book via the website to avoid disappointment.
We wish we could check it out.
