Kirby (Angelina Thomson) and Theo (Matt Evans) realise they’re headed to the same destination for the hen and bucks’ nights ahead of Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) and Tane’s (Ethan Browne) wedding.
Originally, the ladies had been set to board a karaoke bus, but Felicity changed the plans last-minute so they’d be at the same club as the guys. Theo and Kirby are happy to spend a night together, but the mood between the couple changes once Nikau (Kawakawa Fox-Reo) starts giving his best man speech.

Realising he has a chance to talk to someone who may understand, Theo asks Leah why she doesn’t want to marry Justin. Leah is completely thrown – this is the last topic of conversation she thought Theo would have on his mind. She said it’s not just Justin, she doesn’t want to marry anyone.
However, alarm bells begin ringing for her – is Theo asking about marriage because he wants to propose to Kirby?
When Justin shows up at the garage, Leah tells him the news. They both wonder if Theo is considering taking the next step with Kirby – and the development concerns them both.
They’ve only been together for a few months! They decide to confront Theo, but he reveals the opposite is the case. He doesn’t think he ever wants to get married, but after last night it’s clear that Kirby does…
