Cheeky Wetherspoons customer pretends to be a bouncer to ‘add girls on Facebook’

Footage of a Wetherspoons customer trying his luck by pretending to be a bouncer at the pub has left people in stitches after being shared on TikTok.

In the clip, uploaded on TikTok by user @samathony93, a man in a black coat and beanie leans outside the doors of a branch of JD Wetherspoon, The Isambard Kingdom Brunel in Portsmouth.

As three blonde women approach the pub, they stop in their tracks assuming he is the bouncer.

"Have you girls got ID yeah?" he asks.

The women rummage through their bags to show their cards, at which point he struggles to contain his laughter.

"I'm only doing this so I can add you on Facebook later," he jokes, adding, "I'm not even a bouncer!"

At this point, his mate filming cracks up and the girls laugh before heading inside.

In the caption, he wrote: "My friend pretended to be a bouncer for Spoons…"

The funny clip has been watched 440,000 times on the video-sharing app and racked-up more than 45,000 "likes" and hundreds of apps, with many fans saying the bouncer act was totally convincing.

"The voice is spot on spot on why does every bouncer have that voice?" commented one person.

Someone else joked: "I've been mistaken a couple of times for a bouncer while waiting outside.

"It's a great feeling of power nodding people in."

The women in the video later saw the clip and found it hilarious, with one posting the laughing emoji and commenting: "I am dead why are we viral."

"What the hell that is us!" joked a second lass.
