Jac Naylor (Rosie Marcel) and Henrik Hanssen (Guy Henry) clash in tonight’s Holby City over her plans to close AAU. ‘Have you completely lost your mind?’ he asks her. The board is due to meet to discuss the plans and Jac is confident that they’ll back her vision for the hospital, but Hanssen warns her that they could also decide that her time as Director of Improvement is over. ‘If this is my last day at this hospital I intend to go down fighting’ is her response – but what will the board decide?
Is it really Jac’s last day at Holby?
And why is she so determined to push through with the changes to the hospital?
Ange (Dawn Steele) is furious when it looks like AAU is being closed down. With the help of Hanssen and her staff team, she takes some direct action. Will it be enough to persuade Jac she’s making a mistake?
Evie (Phoebe French) has started to have second thoughts about her relationship with Rich Peterson, and is especially worried about 15 year old Mia (Brianna Shan)’s involvement in the ‘parties’ that Rich takes them to. She goes to Jeni (Debra Stephenson) with her concerns, but Jeni isn’t about to let her latest recruits go so easily. What does she have in mind for Evie and Mia? And can Evie stand by and let the younger girl get into a dangerous situation?
It’s Kylie (Amy Murphy)’s birthday, but her day is not improved by the arrival of someone from her past. Melissa Dawson (Naomi Preston-Low) is at Holby for a job interview, but there’s no love lost between her and Kylie. Maybe Louis (Tyler Luke Cunningham) can turn Kylie’s bad day around?
As Chloe (Amy Lennox) helps Eli (Davood Ghadami) in his hunt for a suitable candidate for the stent trial, she offers to review possible patients – and gets a huge shock.
And Carole Copeland (Julia Deakin) is admitted as an emergency patient.
