Hooters has introduced a vegetarian version of their boneless chicken wings — a meatless recreation of the nuggets that Hooters girls couldn’t even differentiate from the original wings.
The wings are made using a meatless recipe developed by Quorn Foods and are available at more than 300 Hooters outposts across the country.
The chain claims the rollout is the largest meatless wing offering in the casual dining industry, Fox News reported.
They also put the wings to the Pepsi challenge on social media, posting a video of Hooters Girls who couldn’t tell the difference between the vegetarian wings and the original chicken.
“By partnering with Quorn, we were able to create the taste, texture and crispiness of our world-famous chicken wings perfectly,” the company told Fox in a statement.
“Similar to our launch of smoked wings and roasted wings with half the calories of our regular wings, the Unreal wings provide our guests a healthier option without compromising on the full Hooters Wing flavor they know and love,” they added.
