Inside Eamonn Holmes’ huge net worth as he ‘steps down from This Morning’

Eamonn Holmes has reportedly made the decision to leave This Morning and ITV in order to start a new chapter at GB News.

The broadcaster, who was dropped from his usual presenting slot alongside wife Ruth Langsford on Friday’s show in the summer, is believed to have made the decision to take on the challenge at the new TV channel.

The 61 year old, who has always presented This Morning with Ruth and recently spoke about his"worry" he would get "cancelled or sacked", will be “missed” on This Morning but it’s “the right time”, according to a source.

“Eamonn’s move to GB News marks the end of an era,” the insider told The Mirror.

But what do we know about Eamonn's net worth? Let's take a look…

Eamonn, who is dad to son Jack, 19, who he shares with wife Ruth, along with Declan, 32, Rebecca, 30, and Niall, 28, is reportedly worth around £3million.

The presenter started GM:TV in 1993 and hosted the first show alongside Anne Davies before he left the show in April 2005 to join Sky's Sunrise.

Eamonn announced he was leaving the weekday breakfast programme after 11 years in 2016 and has guest presented episodes of Good Morning Britain since April 2017.

Meanwhile in 2006 Eamonn and his wife Ruth started presenting This Morning every Friday and during the school holidays.

However, in January 2021, Ruth and Eamonn were replaced by Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary on their usual Friday This Morning slot but were still contracted to present Monday to Thursday during the school holidays.

The Northern Irish presenter reportedly earned a salary of £2.8million while he was presenting Sunrise and This Morning.

After the This Morning change was announce, Eamonn liked a number of tweets from fans who complained about them being replaced.

Aside from TV, Eamonn also presented the drive time show on talkRADIO from January 2018 until 2020 and released his autobiography, This Is My Life, in 2006.

Eamonn also owns TV production company Red, White and Green along with Holmes and Away, to receive income from radio broadcasting, which he runs with wife Ruth.
