Loose Women star Stacey Solomon has been very busy during the past few months, from doing many craft projects, to creating very inventive meals, to revamping her home.

However, one thing that the former X Factor contestant does seem particularly talented at is creating her own storage solutions out of unlikely items.

From shelves to laundry systems to pretty vases, Stacey has made many storage solutions in 2020.

Let’s take a look at some of our favourites…

1) How to store cuddly toys

Stacey ingeniously attached a trellis to the wall in her son Rex’s room, an item that is traditionally used for plants in the garden to grow upon, and pushed his teddies into it which looks very cute.

The knitted toys are peeping out between the lattice wood, and although they are predominately vegetable-themed, this would look equally as good with other cuddly toys.

Stacey captioned the image of her creation, writing: “I was tidying up Rex’s toys and I’ve decided to put his teddy’s in the trellace [trellis],” alongside a laughing face emoji.

She then continued: “And I’ve put it up in Rex’s bedroom…”

The 30-year-old star then went on to reveal she hadn’t yet got permission from her partner and Rex’s father, Joe Swash, revealing: “Now I just need to convince Joe that we need a teddy trellace [trellis],” and added another laughing face emoji and a black love heart.

2) How to create an Instagrammable laundry system

Stacey showed us how to create her colourful and easy-to-use laundry system out three plastic white bins.

The mum of three spray painted them a bubble gum pink.

To stop the spray paint from going everywhere, she did the painting outside on her lawn with the three bins laid out on a blanket.

This meant that even though the blanket got covered in pink she could still just throw it in the wash afterwards.

She then stuck vinyl labels to each one, made by her sister Jemma, aka The Label Lady, which read: ‘Lights’, ‘Darks’ and ‘Whites’.

Lined up against the wall, they looked amazing and it does seem a fantastic way to have laundry pre-sorted before a wash and as Stacey captioned: “Now no one can say they don’t know what goes where…” alongside a sly smile emoji.

3)How to store slippers

After storing her shoes on clip rings on a rack that cost two pounds, Stacey modified the storage solution for lockdown, altering it to hold her comfy shoes and slippers.

Hanging the pairs of slippers and comfy trainers to the rails using clips, Stacey said:”There is absolutely no point having any of these shoes hanging up because I didn't wear them much before the lockdown and I am certainly not wearing stilettos in the house.”

"I'm going to swap them over for shoes I actually wear," she said, adding she was making the most of Rex's morning nap to do some tidying.”

The finished product looks amazing above her fluffy pink carpet.

4) How to store her makeup

During an online Q & A on her Instagram Stories, the star revealed that the white circular shelves she uses to store her makeup are another creative idea.

This is because they are supposed to be used in the garden.

The items in question are half-fronted with glass in a crescent shape.

They store the former X Factor contestant's rose gold-coloured make up from Iconic, and it looks both practical and very decorative.

But where are they from? Well, Stacey made a surprising revelation in response, writing: “I bought these on Ebay and they’re called round half glass wall planters.”

She then continued: “They’re for plants but I thought they’d be perfect for make up. Hope this helps,” alongside two black heart emojis.

5) How to make a chic vase out of a washing detergent bottle

If you don’t have a nice vase to store flowers in, Stacey has again got you covered.

All you in fact need is some an empty bottle of fabric softener, glue sticks, which you can find on Amazon for £2.50 for 20, and some rope.

The girlfriend of Joe Swash then explained: “I just carried on flying over the handle and it worked,” whilst beginning her project by removing the top of the plastic bottle and placing glue on the rope.

The star then wrapped the rope round the bottle repeatedly until no plastic was left in sight, et voila!

She placed some stylish pampas inside and revealed a very beautiful finished product, however you could use any type of plant, real or fake.

6) How to make space in a packed car

Stacey recently went on a weekend away to Butlin's with Joe and her three children. Anyone who has packed up a car full of kids and luggage for a staycation will know that there can be a bit of a space issue.

However, the Loose Woman panellist has found a nifty storage solution, which she shared on her Instagram story.

In footage of herself packing the car that she shared with her 3.6 million Instagram followers, Stacey showed herself adding hooks round the back of the heads of the car seats.

The silver hooks had diamante encrusted balls on the ends of them.

The mum-of-three then used these hooks to hang up her children’s three backpacks so they were niftily stored out the way, on the back of the two front seats. Genius!

Naturally many fans were keen to find out where she had purchased such a useful item from, so the star took to her stories again to explain.

She wrote: “These hooks are brilliant. They’re from Amazon and I just typed in “bag hooks for car” and they come up in lots of different colours too.

“They’ve been a life saver for us,” followed by a love heart emoji.

You can purchase the bag hooks here, and they cost £6.99 for two.
