An Australian mum and meal prepping ‘queen’ has shared her foolproof way of peeling hard boiled eggs in seconds using a storage container and water.

School teacher Katie Lolas, from Sydney, took to Instagram on Tuesday to showcase her ‘hack’ which ensures no large ‘chunks’ are ripped out of the delicate egg. 

‘It’s super easy. All you have to do is add the eggs you want peeled inside of a container, add a bit of water and shake them around for a few seconds or until the egg shells crack,’ she said.

‘You’ll be able to remove the shells seamlessly without losing chunks off your whites. See, I told you it was easy.’

Katie, who goes by the name ‘Lady Lolas’ online, demonstrated the trick in a video and received hundreds of excited comments.

‘Great idea! I normally bang them all over on my bench and then peel in water,’ one woman said.

‘I can’t wait to try this! If it really works, you are my hero,’ said another.

Katie has previously shared a number of useful kitchen hacks, including a way to peel a whole bulb of garlic in seconds.   

She demonstrated the handy trick in a video posted to her popular Instagram page.

In the clip she crushes her bulb of garlic with her hand to separate the cloves, places it in a container, closes the lid and shakes it around until the skin comes away. 

‘All you have to do is place the garlic that you want peeled inside a container place the lid on that container and shake and there you have it – peeled garlic,’ she said in the video. 

The quick and effortless hack can shave minutes off cooking time and save you from wrestling with fiddly garlic gloves.

Many of Katie’s 163,000 followers were wowed by the ‘game changing’ hack and took to the comments to express their amazement. 

‘Jaw on the floor!’ one exclaimed while a second asked ‘What is this sorcery?’

‘If this actually works you might have just changed the course of my whole life!?’ commented a third.  

Peeling garlic has proved a headache for many home cooks who have come up with genius solutions to make the process painless. 

Previously, foodie Jenny Stewart, from the US, demonstrated her miracle garlic peeling method in a Youtube video. 

All you need is fresh garlic and a microwave to remove the cloves from the peels without a knife.
