Former Neighbours star Caitlin Stasey has revealed her new career move as a porn director and will be making short erotic films about female empowerment.
Caitlin, who played Rachel Kinski, will be directing the films for female-led erotic side, Afterglow.
She confirmed the career move to Women’s Wear Daily, and stated that the films are a form of positive female acceptance.
Caitlin said: ‘It’s a queer-run and operated company. It’s a very cool group of women making some very good stuff.’
Caitlin explained she was set to direct a number of films in February, but the Coronavirus pandemic has made it a challenge.
She added: ‘We were all set to make several films in February, but things have gotten really, really dicey out [in L.A.]. Making a regular film during Covid-19 is tough – making a pornographic film during Covid-19? Virtually impossible.’
Caitlin has spoken out previously about her support for female sexuality and body positivity.
Caitlin played Rachel in Neighbours from 2005-2009, but chose to leave the show to focus on her studies.
