  • Said her obese mother’s near-death experience motivated to shed some weight
  • Now is a qualified Personal Trainer helping others on their weight loss journeys

A super slimmer has revealed how her mother’s near-death experience after getting gallstones in 2015 motivated her to lose an incredible 10st, to make sur her daughter wouldn’t grow up without a mother

Senior learning support worker Kimberly Fisher, 33, from Basingstoke, England, shed ten stone and went from weighing 21st 3lbs to 11st 10lb in just a year, after being motivated by her own mother’s health scare.

The single mum-of-one explained her mother, who is also overweight, suffered complications after getting gallstones in 2015, and nearly died when her organs began to shut down.

It convinced Kimberly to swap ready meals and cheesecakes for healthy dinners and exercise, so that she wouldn’t risk suffering a similar fate and leaving her daughter Bella, six, without a parent.

After losing the weight, Kimberly, who is now a size 10, is a qualified personal trainer helping others on their weight loss journey and receives flirtatious messages from admirers on social media.

The motivation that pushed Kimberly to shed the weight was that she wanted to be able to look after her daughter Bella. pictured with her now

Kimberly Fisher, 33, from Basingstoke, shed nearly 10 stone and went from 21st 3lbs, left, to 11st 10lb, right after her obese mother’s health scare convinced her she needed to lose weight in order to take care of her daughter Bella, six

Kimberly’s unhealthy connection with food began at 16 when she was in a toxic relationship, eating junk food until she felt sick.

When she became pregnant in 2015, she once again turned to food for comfort, eating McDonalds, ready meals and cheesecakes on a regular basis.

Kimberly said that she’s been called ‘disgusting’ and ‘fat’, but that she never cared until her mum’s weight led to a near-death experience.

In 2015, Kimberly’s mum got gallstones due to being 19st and overweight – and her weight led to further complications, with her organs beginning to shut down.

As a single mother to her daughter Bella, six, Kimberly decided that she wanted to do everything she could to reduce the risk of leaving her child without a parent.

‘It wasn’t until my mum became very sick that I became worried for my own health,’ said Kimberly.

‘I never really worried about how I looked, but then she got gallstones due to her being severely overweight.

‘She seemed to be one of the unlucky ones as it led to some serious complications where her organs started shutting down and I nearly lost her.

The single mother-of-one said she used to not care about the way she looked, in spite of being fat-shamed and called ‘disgusting’ by mean-spirited trolls, pictured before

After her mother almost died following gallstones in 2015 due to being obese, Kimberly decided it was time to shed some pounds. Pictured during a colour run in 2017

The mother-of-one, pictured after her weight loss, is now a lifting powerhouse at the gym and a personal trainer

‘It was at this point I knew I had to lose the weight and sort my health out so that I could watch my little girl grow up.’

Kimberly spent the next year reassessing what she ate, joining Slimming World and going to regular gym sessions.

After losing 3st 7lbs, the mother-of-one took a year’s break from her weight loss journey, but got back on the horse in April 2017, kicking it up a notch by going to booty camps and learning to powerlift.

Kimberly’s diet is now made up of porridge bowls or low calorie homemade pancakes for breakfast, feta pasta salad, homemade soups, homemade fakeaways, mac and cheese, and ramen.

The super slimmer said she’s now the fittest she’s ever been in her life, pictured, and loves her newfound energy

Kimberley said she relishes being able to buy nice clothes and nice lingerie, as she felt it was inaccessible to her when she was at her heaviest weight (pictured now showing off her yoga moves)

By May 2018, Kimberly had reached her goal weight of 11st 10lb, shaving off a massive 9st 7lbs and dropping from a UK dress size 24 to size 10.

She has now become a qualified personal trainer, with people lining up for her to help them on their own weight loss journeys.

‘I am the fittest I’ve ever been in my life and I love it,’ she said.

‘I can run around after my daughter and my kids at work without feeling like I’m going to die. I can wear nice clothes and buy nice lingerie which I could never do before.

Kimberley, picture now, admitted she’s had more attention online since losing the weight, but added that more importantly she feels ‘100 per cent better’ about herself

‘I have had more attention romantically online and in real life since slimming down.

‘I’ve had people trying to add me via social media and ask me on dates, people I don’t know.

‘I’ve also had unwanted attention when out and about which I was never used to and found quite hard.

‘Mentally I feel one hundred times better about myself. I don’t have to worry about visiting a fun fair because I’m too big to fit on a ride.

‘People I’ve not seen in a while don’t recognise me.

‘I love myself a lot better. I love what I see in the mirror but also I’m happier.’

A history of bad eating habits and little exercise saw Kimberly turn to comfort food, and reach 21st 3lb at her heaviest, pictured
