Two years after her finalizing her divorce, Theresa Caputo admits she still grieves the end of her 28-year marriage.
The “Long Island Medium” star told Page Six in a recent interview that although Spirit pushed her to write her new book, “Good Mourning,” over two years ago, she wasn’t ready to work on it because of the pain of her divorce.
“I think the hardest part was realizing that I was still grieving and mourning my divorce,” Caputo said. “My marriage with Larry. I think that was one of the hardest chapters to kind of like write about, because it’s still hard, even today.”
She added, “People don’t get married thinking, ‘Oh, you know what, I’m going to get divorced in 25 years.’”
Caputo, 53, and Larry, 64, announced their separation in December 2017. The couple — who share two adult children, Larry Jr. and Victoria — finalized their divorce in December 2018.
Now, she hopes that fans reading her book will learn from her experiences and “not to lose faith or hope.”
“That is my biggest thing and more importantly with ‘Good Mourning,’ that you’re not alone,” she said. “Especially during these times. I think a lot of people feel isolated, alone. Maybe their losses, they never felt validated.”
Her new book is available now and fans can enter to win a reading with Caputo until Oct. 13.
