Save yourself buying a new toothbrush by giving yours a bacteria-busting refresh instead using this simple hack.

In the clip, she explains the logic behind the unlikely tip as a simple ingredient used to make the tablets.
“These obviously have bicarbonate of soda in them which is why they’re good at cleaning, along with a few other ingredients,” the savvy mum shares.
She then instructs followers how to try it out at home by soaking their brush in the diluted tablet solution to give it the clean that it definitely needs.
“Simply pop one into some water with your toothbrush.”
“The water has gone blue. I’m going to go downstairs and do some bits and pieces,” Lynsey explains, leaving the solution to work it's magic.
“These denture tablets do kill 99.9 percent of bacteria. And bacteria is sitting on your toothbrushes. Believe me your toothbrush is dirty,” she says.
And the hack is as much good news for the planet as it is for you purse, as replacing your toothbrush too often creates unnecessary plastic waste.
“Unless you’re in the market for changing your toothbrush every week, obviously again, it is not good for the planet because of the plastic (unless you buy bamboo ones), it is important that you do keep your toothbrush clean,” Queen of Clean, whose real name is Lyndsey, explains.

She uses it to brighten and deodorize her washing loads, adds it to lemon to cut through grease on stainless steel surfaces, and even to whiten dirty trainers.
