If you're like me and have perpetually chapped lips, the pain (and dried-out look) can be unbearable at times. But Amazon shoppers and Stranger Things actress Sadie Sink have found a solution. "It’s called Papaw," Sink told me at the 2019 CFDA Awards. "I don’t know if you’ve heard of it, but it's Australian. I can only get it on Amazon, so I always stock up."
The balm's full name is actually Lucas' Papaw Ointment ($8; amazon.com), and it has amassed a global cult following. You may have seen beauty bloggers waving the red tube around in their YouTube videos or noticed professional makeup artists — like singer Adele's pro Michael Ashton — adding it to their makeup kits. People use it as an ointment to soothe all types of skin conditions, from eczema to burns.

"My first tube of this I got from a friend who brought it back as a gift from Australia," one reviewer explains. "I accepted it with a 'uhh, thanks?' but I did not yet appreciate how amazing this stuff is. It works on scratches, bug bites, scabs, blisters, dry skin, razor burn, everythingggggg. I carry a tube everywhere for that very reason. I have intermittently severe eczema and in a pinch, this will provide relief."
It definitely sounds like an all-around winner. Thanks, Sadie, for putting us on to it.
