That’s right – rather than smearing her sore skin in expensive products or applying specialist spot stickers, a clever beauty fan named Shannon Bruno took to TikTok to share her amazement when she cleared up her spots with a product instead made for healing painful blisters.

Shannon, who regularly shares her skin care tips and tricks with her 58k followers says, “If you have acne with white pus and want it gone overnight, this is my best kept secret.”

Holding up the Band-Aid Hydro Seal All-Purpose Hydrocolloid Gel Bandages, £4.95 here, to the camera, the TikTok creator explains that when she was “searching online for alternatives to expensive acne patches”, she discovered a blog that claimed the Band-Aid blister plasters “worked perfectly”.

To keep her breakouts at bay, Shannon cuts up the bargain bandages into different-sized sections to fit “any acne size”.

She claims that the box “will last you throughout the entire month – even more” as you can cut up to 50 patches out of the full pack.

To get the full effect, Shannon advises to “apply to dry skin overnight and see the magic happen in the morning”.

The amazing hack, which currently has over a million views on TikTok, has attracted a lot of attention from fellow beauty fans, who appeared excited about Shannon’s discovery.

“Yesss girl, best tip, thank you,” one fan said. “Can’t wait to try it out.”

“This is so smart,” another wrote.

But it appears that this method may already be well-known among TikTok users, as one fan joked “been using these forever, you gave away my secrets”.

“Girl please don’t tell people about it,” another said, “these are about to be sold out.”
