Tributes have been paid to a 'kind and caring' 23-year-old who died after falling off a motorway bridge.
Jessica Duckworth, from Padiham, near Burnley, has been described as "beautiful inside and out" and someone who "always carried a huge smile with her."
She was pronounced dead in the early hours of Sunday shortly after police were called to the scene at the M62 Scammonden Bridge, reports Examiner Live.
Friends of Jessica – who is thought to have been an NHS employee – have taken to social media to pay tribute to her.
One wrote on Facebook : "I’m stuck for words. Everybody is heartbroken including myself. Jessica was beautiful inside and out and always carried a huge smile with her.
"Rest in peace you beautiful girl. Please, if anyone else is struggling, speak to somebody."
Another said: "Absolutely devastated and heartbroken to be writing this but we have lost an angel that was too perfect for this earth, Jessica Duckworth.
"Thank you for the years of memories laughter and friendship."
While another friend wrote: "Can’t believe the news that the world has lost someone as bright was you.
"You lit up every room you walked in and made everybody laugh and I learnt that in just a few hours.
"You will be such a huge loss to the lives of your family and friends."
A male friend added: "In total shock. Rest in peace beautiful Jessica Duckworth. It was always a laugh with you around. Taken too soon."
The motorway was closed for around seven hours on Sunday morning following the incident which happened at about 1am.
Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
