A reality TV star sparked backlash by warning married women against masturbation.
Jill Duggar believes ladies should swerve self love so they’re always “available” for their husbands.
She added that she has sex with her partner “three to four times a week”.
Unsurprisingly, the US woman’s statements haven’t gone down well with all women.
Many said the advice sounds like something “right out of a 1950s movie about a submissive housewife.”
Jill found fame on the TV show 19 Kids and Counting.
The devout Christian often shares marriage advice on her blog, the Dilliard Family.
And in her latest post, the 28-year-old urged her followers to “have sex often”.
She explained: “You both need this time together regularly (3-4 times a week is a good start. lol).
“And when you may not be able to actually have intercourse for a period of time or for health issues, find other ways to have fun and be intimate.”
The reality TV star added that ladies should refrain from masturbating so they’re more likely to be in the mood when their partner wants to have sex.
She said: “Let your spouse know that you’re aways available.
“Guard against fulfilling sexual desires alone.
“Be open with your spouse about your desires and change things up to keep it exciting…
“If you’re struggling with sex with your spouse, GET HELP!
“See a doctor and/or licensed counselor and don’t be afraid to get second opinions!”
Jill’s other tips include giving your husband your “undivided attention”.
She also urges women to “look nice” for their other half.
Instead of wearing “frumpy pjs”, the TV star says you should maintain the appearance you had when you were first dating.
Blog readers were grateful for Jill’s advice, with many fans leaving her comments.
One responder wrote: “Love this Jill! Thanks you so much for sharing from your heart.”
Another said: “This is such a great post Jill! Well said and very encouraging.”
While Jill’s fans thought the advice was good, dozens of followers disagreed with her.
One commenter remarked: “I believe we should keep ourselves looking good for our man.
“Whatever we did to attract them, we need to keep that going.
“But this advice from Jill Duggar sounds like it’s right out of a 1950s movie about a submissive housewife.”
A second clapped back: “Keep your warped sexual advise to yourself, thank you.”
