Wilko is selling a rainbow-coloured Christmas tree and it's £20 cheaper than Asda's

THE festive season usually goes in the colours of red, green and gold – but Wilko is now selling a rainbow-coloured Christmas tree.

Setting you back £30, the 5ft tree is £20 cheaper than Asda's £50 version of the same height.

The latter sparked a debate a few weeks ago, with some shoppers loving the NHS tribute while others said it "screamed tacky".

The latest tree at Wilko, which was shared by Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, has also divided shoppers on social media.

One user said: "That's the ugliest thing I have ever seen in my entire life… I'd rather decorate a Bonsai."

And another added: "Only place for this is the bin. So ugly."

However, not everyone was so unimpressed with the artificial and eye-catching Christmas tree.

One user wrote: "PLEASE CAN WE HAVE IT," and another said: "This is you all over it!"

If you're keen to add some extra colour to your home this Christmas, Wilko's tree comes with adjustable branches, which could come in handy if you have young kids or pets.

The tree also measures just 66cm wide, which may be suitable if you don't have a lot of space at home.

Wilko charges a £2 fee if you order and collect, or you'll have to pay from £5 to have it delivered to your doorstep.

The Sun has asked the retailer if the tree is also available to buy in stores without pre-ordering, so we'll update this article once we hear back.

In the meantime, it's worth giving your local Wilko store a ring before popping over. You can find your nearest one by using its shop locator tool.

At £30, Wilko is offering the cheapest price we could find on similar rainbow Christmas trees.

Meanwhile, Argos is selling a 5ft rainbow Christmas tree for £35 – and it's just 40.64cm wide.

Argos lets you click and collect for free, or you'll have to pay a £3.95 fee for standard delivery.

If you prefer a wider tree, Asda's rainbow version measures 91.5cm and it comes with free delivery – but it's only going on sale over the next couple of weeks.

Paperchase has previously also sold a rainbow Christmas tree for £55, but it's currently listed as out of stock on its website.

For more festive inspiration, Disney has launched its Christmas jumper range – so get ready to feel seriously festive.

Plus, shoppers are raving about Home Bargains’ serving board that is shaped like a sleigh.

Foodies may also be pleased to know that M&S is selling Percy Pig mince pies for Christmas and they taste like the sweets.
