After a year and a half of being home – and with holidays abroad being cancelled and postponed across the board – you might be keen to give yourself a luxurious break.
A new pampering experience right here in the UK incorporates some of the most opulent ingredients in the world, with champagne and gold featuring heavily in the indulgent treatments.
Red Letter Days has teamed up with the 5-star boutique Norfolk hotel, The Dial House, to offer the country’s first exclusive ‘Champagne and 24K Gold Pamper Experience’.
Guests during the limited edition break will experience a premium gold leaf facial, as well as soak in a bath of bubbly and 24k gold.
At The Dial House, you’ll stay in the lavish Italian Palace suite, and after getting settled into your room you can begin your gold leaf facial, where a therapist will complete a gold leaf application, a full hand and head massage, a double cleanse and exfoliation with Temple Spa products, as well as a gold face mask.
After indulging in an afternoon of pure relaxation, saunter downstairs for your dinner reservation at The Dial House’s AA Rosette restaurant to enjoy an exquisite meal cooked with the finest of produce.
It’s at this point that the team will be busy preparing the candlelit champagne and gold bathing experience for you (as well as sprucing up your room), to allow you to return to complete tranquillity and serenity.
Once you’ve made your way upstairs you’ll find the roll-top bath brimming with champagne infused waters, and bubbles dusted off with 24K gold leaf.
A complimentary bottle of Champagne will be chilling on ice on the table beside it, along with some chocolate gold-covered strawberries for you to indulge on throughout the course of the evening.
As if all of that isn’t enough, you’ll also be treated to a sumptuous breakfast in bed – complete with a selection of dishes and refreshments, including a stack of syrup laden pancakes and a golden teapot (because of course).
Both Champagne and gold leaf have not only been added to this experience to provide some shimmer and sparkle but they’ve been carefully selected for their properties.
Lesley Reynolds, founder of the Harley Street Skin Clinic, said: ‘There is certainly evidence to suggest that gold may have anti-inflammatory properties and antioxidant effects.
‘The metal can help reduce inflammation which causes hyperpigmentation and acne, reduce skin redness and protect against free radicals that lead to wrinkles and sun damage.’
Her trusted colleague, Dr Mike Tee, also explained how Champagne holds properties that support anti-ageing and skin rejuvenation, saying: ‘A great benefit of champagne is the antioxidants found in the grape seed extract it contains.
‘These antioxidants are many times more powerful than vitamin C and vitamin E; grape seed extract safeguards the skin’s vital collagen and elastin from environmental free radicals.’
The experience costs £600 for two, and you can secure your spot on the Red Letter Days website. The pamper package is available now, but has limited availability, so book now to avoid missing out.
