Otis’ house in Sex Education to open for holiday bookings – and it’s in the UK

Netflix's Sex Education has become a hit thanks to everything from its quirky characters to the brilliant script, but its location has also got fans talking.

Specifically, the house where Otis (Asa Butterfield) and his mother Jean (Gillian Anderson) live, with its eye-catching scarlet exterior, sprawling terrace and ridiculously pretty surrounding landscapes.

The good news for fans? It's not a film set, but a real house located in the breathtaking Wye Valley.

The better news? It's about to open up for bookings as a holiday rental, meaning you could go and explore it for yourself (and with that picturesque scenery, it's bound to make for an idyllic staycation).

You could have breakfast on that incredible terrace with the outdoor views, wander through the house and explore the filming location, or simply make the most of the great outdoors thanks to the countless walking trails and cycling paths to be found in the area.

Owner Stuart Morgan, who originally lived in the chalet, told LADbible that he's hoping to have it ready for rentals as early as Easter 2020.

It seems as though he may not struggle to fill the property, as he told the publication that he was prompted to open the house after receiving "hundreds of enquiries from around the world" ever since the home was used as a Sex Education filming location.

The property, named The Chalet, sits in the village of Symonds Yat in Herefordshire, and can sleep up to 10 people across five bedrooms.

According to its website, it boasts a 100-year-old history, although it has all the modern amenities you'd need for a comfortable stay.

In spring and summer, make use of the terrace or the conservatory dining rooms, soak up the sun on the deck or explore the area where you'll find colourful flowers, lush green trees and just heaps of picture-perfect British countryside.

In the colder months, make use of the cosy interiors, grab some blankets and warm up by the log fire, or cook some hearty and delicious pizzas in the hand-made pizza oven on the site.

Oh, and for intrepid explorers, thee are also steps leading down to the nearby river, as well as easy access to the nearby pub, hotel and canoe centre.

At the moment no exact date has been confirmed for when bookings will open.

However, if you're keen then you may want to bookmark the Chalet Website where updates are being shared.
