One of the biggest bargains is a stay at Hotel Rendezvous in North Yorkshire, which includes an overnight stay and breakfast for £69, working out to less than £35 each.

It even includes a welcome drink on arrival, as well as an extra 15 per cent off other meals and drinks at the hotel.

Other hotel deals include an overnight stay in Brighton with breakfast and a bottle of bubbly for £89 – or £45 each – and a two-night stay on the Isle of Wight with breakfast, costing £159 for two.

Or, you can splash the cash for any petrolheads, with a one night hotel stay in Worcestshire which includes a five-hour driving experience in a Morgan car, costing £225.

If your budget is slightly lower this Christmas, Travelzoo also has a number of day experiences too.

The cheapest is entry tickets to Betchley park in Milton Keyes, known for being the World War II codebreaking site, now an attraction and museum and costs just £13.
